Hey! I'm Matt Jones

At the end of the summer I passed my driving test with Tony from 5 STAR DRIVING ACADEMY. I was so happy with the help he gave me that I wanted people to know about it.

My parents brought me a bundle of driving gift vouchers for Christmas last year. They found about at the school on the website after being recommended by a family friend. While I was dead excited about the fact I was going to learn to drive I was also starting to get nervous. In my mind I thought I would crash the car or something equally as stupid. Before my first lesson Tony rang me to confirm my lesson and to check how I was feeling about it all. I was really glad of this as it calmed my nerves a bit and it got rid of some of the fear of talking to a complete stranger.

On my first lesson Tony came and got me from my house. He spoke to me outside of the car for a few minutes and then we were off. He took me to a quite side road and showed me about what all the buttons and pedals do. I was really grateful of this because I was confused about what some of them were but I was too embarrassed to ask. After that it was my turn!! Tony showed me how to safely start, move off and stop the car. Suddenly I thought I was amazing as I could drive at just under 5MPH

After this I met with Tony every week to have a lesson and I was picking it up a lot quicker than I ever dreamed I would. At the end of each lesson I was given a information handout to help me recap the lessons. Tony also advised me to start doing my theory test straight away so that I could get it over and done with. With that passed I booked my driving test. Suddenly I began to question whether I was able to do this, but Tony sat and told me that I could, I just need to believe in myself.

The day of my test came and I was a bag of nerves. I had a lesson before hand which helped a lot as I calmed down and got comfortable. I walked into the test centre a little scared but knowing I could do it if I did exactly what I did in my lessons. And I did!!! A few minors here and there but I’d passed!!!
